Plastisol TransfersPlastisol Iron-On Heat transfers are made the same exact way as the traditional screen printing process using plastisol inks. The finished heat transfer comes printed with your design on a transfer paper sheet (aka release sheet), you than apply/transfer the design to t-shirts etc. Deco TransfersDeco Material Transfers are made using a cutter/plotter. Basically, your designs are traced and exported as a cut-file and the cutter cuts them off the material rolls. The finished heat transfer comes on a clear plastic sheet. You WEED out the extra material and print them on shirts and more...! Digital TransfersDigital Transfers aka Photo Transfers are made using a Bubble Jet Printer or Lazer Printer/Copy Machine. The designs are scanned and printed on a special heat transfer paper. This transfer type is NOT as durable as the other 2 above. |

SuperGlitz® Plastisol TransfersSuperGlitz® Plastisol Transfers are screen printed using Glitter Inks.
They are unique, very very sparkly and hard to reproduce with other materials.
They have a look of their own and depending on the Ink Mix, they can even feel like vinyl and red colors
can look like wet lipstick. Special adhesives can also be used to make them stretchy and
extra durable when printing them on stretch fabrics.

4 Color Process Iron on TransfersThis transfer printing process is used when the artwork is a photo type design
with a lot of colors and blends.
The set up and preperation to run a 4 color process job involves a lot of art prep-work,
for this reason we only run 4 color process transfers
using the 25"x38" Jumbo Size transfer sheets with a minimum run of 1,000 sheets.
Of course with a large run like this you transfer cost per design becomes very attractive.

Lithograph Iron-On Transfers (litho-transfers)Back in the seventies these were the most popular transfers. Below is a photo from an original collection of rock bands from the 70's. Notice they are in a MATTE finish. Soon after they were also made with GLITTER around the edges.
|
|
About Litho-TransfersHave you noticed most Lithograph Transfers lately have a glitter border aroung the edge ?
the photo sample to your left of an Ozzy Decal made by Bang On is an example of such.
By the way, this sample is not for sale here, it's only being use as a demo.
|
This is how it works !This is a four-color process (Off-Set) type transfer ( this means you can use unlimited colors ) that
provides high photo like detail. It is impossible for a screen printer to directly print on shirts with this litho-end result.
But who knows, there are brilliant screen printers out there and sooner or later it will get done.

Ordering Custom Plastisol Transfers Starting PointThe Best place to start for a Cost effective way to make Custom Plastisol Transfers is to do a Collection of Designs, like 5 or 6 Designs with the same quantiy for each design. This is just a basic tip...! What is a Plastisol Transfer Sheet?
Transfer sheet is a special Release Paper, your designs are printed on the transfer sheet in mirror image
using the traditional screen printing method with plastisol inks.
You then use a Home Hand Iron or Heat Press Machine to Transfer the Designs from the Paper Transfer

Transfer Sheet
|
Ganging (Grouping) Designs/Artwork on the Transfer SheetThe photo to your left is a Sample Transfer Sheet with Gang Designs.
So, in total, this Transfer Sheet is using 5 Colors (White, Black, Red, Green, Pink). Tip: if you use WHITE in any of the transfer sheet designs, this is good. Why? because we can also use the WHITE Screen to Add the WHITE color as a Base behind any Light colors...like the PINK and GREEN in this example. The WHITE base will make the PINK and GREEN colors more vibrant when printing your designs on DARK color shirts. |
